Pickleball Man

entry picture

I used to run forever a marathon man
But now I am a veteran I need a plan
I thought I would give tennis a try
But it wasn't for me goodbye
Squash was next on my list give it a go
But for all my efforts it was a no

My mind was all mashed up man what to do
I had enough of misery and feeling blue
I want to be confident and walk tall
What could be the answer maybe pickleball

So I got my act together and walked out the door
With my paddle in my hand no crying anymore
I strode down to the leisure centre on a high
A warm welcome awaited as I touched the sky

I was pretty nervous but I had a posse new
But with some coaching I would push on through
Standing on the baseline my confidence grew
This is the game for me this much is true

Now my skill is growing and I am on a roll
Pickleball is ace and dinking saved my soul
Hit me with your best drop shot dude
My serve is on fire you got me in the mood

Just look at me now with my paddle in my hand
I have found my nirvana hope you understand
Now I spend my day on court giving my all
My future is bright and I owe it all to pickleball

My future is bright and I owe it all to pickleball
