One Memory...Yewtree Cemetery 21/2/25

entry picture

To Yewtree Cemetery, I made my way.

As it’s my Dads 91st Birthday today.

I seem to repeat myself every time I go.

There are certain things I’d like to know.

But for another day the answers can wait.

This is Dad’s day in Heaven to celebrate!

My Dad was loved, that’s plain to see.

That makes me proud as proud as can be.

Forever in people’s hearts, is Dad for sure.

But it saddens me I didn’t know him more.

If I close my eyes, just one memory I recall.

At this moment as usual, a tear does fall

In my memory bank, just one time of fun.

No park days out, no Zoo and no school run.

Every time I come to Yewtree, I always cry.

One memory is not enough, the reason why.

Happy Birthday Dad….Michael xx
