Midnight clothes everywhere

apart from where the artificially glaring lights

dominate every one of the traffic clogged and people thronging

canyonesque streets and the wrong doings taking place within them

that cannot and never will be easy to deal with

 

and here am I thankfully and for what it is worth

high above and away from it all in my American Hotel room

but nevertheless presently having to endure the twin disturbances

of the adjoining rooms occupants loud and angry sounding

vocal confrontations ( my hopes for a ceasefire!)

and the on/off on/off on/off dazzling neon advertisig sign

fixed so inconveniently ( for my eyes ) right next to my window

 

but this is HEAVEN!

in comparison to the wild west-like orgy of criminality

and sporadic crazed carryings on far below

to where all kinds of emergency vehicles are speeding to

there is no end to their findings of  dazed and drunken brawlers lying on a blood splattered pavement

much of it as a result of knife fights 

some in large pools emitting from dead bodies

nothing new in this nightly

drink and drugged fuelled mindless madhouse

 

having to be dealt with by the mostly black and white skinned blue uniformed and white coated medal deserving goodies

versus the every internationally skin coloured mean and vicious lawless baddies creating these endless goings on that are never somewhere else

if only there were stockades of the kind so badly needed

able to keep these repetitive distortions of decency out

once and for all time
