INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

entry picture

(I might have missed this opportunity were it not for Leonidas's reminder.  I am still a little unsure of the ending.  Do I ground it properly?  Let me have your thoughts.)

Raise your voices; have your say!

International Women’s Day.

Banish weakness.  Let’s be strong.

Time to right what has been wrong.

Linking arms in sisterhood,

Pledged to Justice, pledged to Good.

Standing proud and standing tall,

The worth of one the strength of all

Yellow, brown, black or white

Joined together in the fight.

Joined in gender, joined in name

Equally we are the same.

Bald or bushy, straight or dyke

All our fannies look alike.

Is she a newcomer to the site, Graham? She never objected to it last year, or the year before, etc.

I have received a complaint from a Miss O Gyny who seriously recommends you delete the last two lines.

You must have led a sheltered life my friend. They are all unique and not just how they look!
