All At Once

All At Once

I refuse to use punctuation

So you cannot take a breath

It might cause consternation

Resulting in your death

It could remove all context

And lead you to confusion

But it makes my life less complex

So pardon its non-inclusion

If it fails to transmit my intention

Or the subject matter at hand

It might not hold your attention

Which is not what I had planned

I had hoped for a pleasant change

And not think about the grammar

But sufferance has a limited range

Whilst my idleness holds no glamour

It is therefore neither big nor clever

To demonstrate the pedantics

It only harms the other fella

Who is breathless at my antics

So I promise to use punctuation

In future prose or rhyme

And you can show your appreciation

By not dying before your time

Thanks Holden, Red Brick, Flyntland and Nigel for the likes on this one. I will repost it as I didn't realise the proximity of the month end. Please don't feel obliged to re-like!
