What Matters More at the Workplace: Pay or Peace of Mind?

In today’s modern world , when people are obsessed with earning more and more

Their peace of mind is steadily degrading day by day

They are becoming sick due to mental health despite professional and financial growth in their life

As their peace of mind has vanished, replaced by stress anxiety and restlessness

They are becoming more vulnerable to depression, self-destructive behaviours and even suicide.

In my opinion, peace of mind holds the highest place

Without peace of mind, no amount of money can bring lasting happiness and fulfilment.

Money can buy comfort but not contentment, not happiness. It can provide temporary comfort.

When our heart and soul is contended, then only we can enjoy life, every stages of life adulthood, parenthood and old age.

Then only one can survive and live joyfully and maintain a serene and meaningful life.

To conclude this, we should redefine success not with luxury and comfort but by contentment and peace of mind.

Peace of mind is not just important- it’s everything!

Thanks Bindu, for those wise words.
I consider my self extremely fortunate to have retired in good health, to have a secure roof over my head, and enough food on my table.
But I see much suffering around me caused by the greed of politicians and their "masters" in big business, who manipulate economy for their own selfish ends. EG. sewage being pumped into the UK's inland waterways and maritime waters, yet ever-soaring bills for those who can least afford to pay.
