Land and Freedom [ Gaza's Not For Sale! ]
NB. My original intention, somewhat clumsily expressed, was to voice the thoughts of
A. someone benignly called a "settler", who, in any other context would be a considered a terrorist and a thief.
B. the so-called "Christian" mercenaries who, based in RAF Akrotiri, enable that genocide and ethnic cleansing.
I consider a re-post of “Land and Freedom” to be highly appropriate, in view of Trump’s recent vile video, mocking the suffering of the Palestinians, and his reference to Gaza as a piece of “Real Estate”.
“GAZA’S NOT FOR SALE”, as they wrote on Turnberry golf course.
For Land and Freedom, some profess great love,
No place though, in my heart for blood-drenched stones,
A charnel-house, where grew an olive grove,
My new-born’s crèche, built on crushed babies’ bones?
What’s Freedom for? to build Apartheid’s walls?
That’s good for nought, but sowing death and hate;
Its harvest, cruel, to evil it’s in thrall,
Brute arrogance spits in humanity’s face,
Still, Onward Christian Soldiers march and sing;
Remembrance though, has seen no lessons learned,
As congregations drone where is death’s sting?
A silent night cloaks Truth they all have spurned.
Efficiency ensures that coffins filled
Mean coffers full, more blessings for those killed.
