This shoplifting plague needs strong medicine
Shameless shoplifters are stripping Gregg's shelves bare,
With staff powerless,prosecutions extremely rare.
Thieves with no fear of being caught ,
Confidently steal what they have not bought.
Sat in Gregg's enjoying my .lunchtime treat ,
At least a couple of thefts my eyes did meet.
During the 1.30. lunchtime rush,
Thieves hidden by queues confidently gush.
Three young lads each stole a drink,
Picked up a sandwich, were away in a blink.
Serial shoplifters are attracted to Greggs every day,
Causing prices to rise, for us who have to pay !!
An important and timely investigation by the Sun,
Exposes how bad shoplifting at Greggs has become .

Thanks Hugh, but ours is a society whose economy is based on greed.
The introduction of "impulse buying" was nothing but a cunning money-maker which I think began around my childhood.
Instead of asking someone behind a counter, "ave you got fork 'andles?" we can now take them straight off the shelf.
As a result, we have mums walking around supermarkets with babies in prams feeding them food they haven't yet paid for!
I've no sympathy for the whingeing so-called "victims".
As for the Sun, trust them to take the side of the exploiter!
