Wonderful Warwick Words
The ninth Warwick Words literary festival will be held from Friday, 1st to Sunday, 10th October, and looks like being their most successful yet!
This year’s festival promises ten days packed with performances from some of the country’s leading writers – from poets to novelists, journalists to storytellers – with workshops on many themes and topics to encourage you to develop your creative writing skills and extend your understanding of the craft.
As well as the workshops there will be an abundance of children’s parties, grown-up morning coffees and afternoon teas, performances and readings, walks and talks, and an event dedicated to the rich heritage of writers from Warwickshire ... and many of these events are free! And new for this year there is an exciting series of events for teenagers, including illustrative graffiti, song writing and more.
Special guest this year will include James Ellroy, Robin Ince, Dame Stella Rimington, Matthew Rice, David Crystal, Dame Jacqueline Wilson and many, many more.
