King's Lynn Literature Festival
King’s Lynn in Norfolk holds not one but two literature festivals each year – one in March for fiction, and the second in September for poetry.
Their 26th poetry festival takes place from Friday, 24th to Sunday, 26th September, 2010, and they aim to present some of the best contemporary writers in a congenial and informal setting; writers of international repute alongside new writers including French poet Valérie Rouzeau with her translator Susan Wicks, Jo Shapcott, Kit Wright, special guest Anthony Thwaite, and many more.
The venue is Thoresby College on the Quayside, King’s Lynn, and the weekend is divided in to a series of 90 minute sessions, each of which has an interval. Tickets for all events are £8.50 available in advance or on the door, or you can buy a weekend pass for £37.50. Please note that the Saturday evening session is always very popular, so early booking is recommended.
