Life is....
Shakespeare would have us believe.
The question is who controls the auditorium?
Is it controlled through Government hand outs or
augmented taxation served up to befuddled legislaton.
Life is a randomised, unsolicited list of stage directions,
given as prompts regardless of consequence.
It’s the equivalent to being forced
to take part in the blind tasting of a chocolates
not knowing which one is the laxative.
Life is but a passing shadow,
a floating existence within the heartbeat of a dream.
Verve throws occasional lifelines,
that morph into tethered hot air balloon,
buffeted by an autumn breeze and lashings of rain.
Life is to take life on in one daring adventure,
facing challenges, despite the inevitable wind changes.
Taking life on gives substance to existence
and a chance to find that special love, that shared song lyric
that gives the rhythm beat of your hearts.
Life is a stopping place in a poem.
