Write Out Loud writer Oz Hardwick has just published his third collection called ‘The Illuminated Dreamer’.

The book is published by Oversteps Books and has been described as ‘a book of borderlands between real and imagined countries, home and abroad, dreams and waking life’ (David Kennedy).

Diverse in form and subject, the poems that make up the collection nonetheless have a common unifying thread. Oz explains, “Right from childhood, I was always listening to music or had my head in a book, and I loved art and old films, which I suppose gave me a particular way of looking at the world. It wasn’t a conscious decision, but ‘The Illuminated Dreamer’ has turned out to be a collection that largely addresses experiencing the world through that sort of lens and exploring the ‘imaginative gap’ this creates.”

The resulting poetry is inventive and full of memorable images and comes highly recommended by Winston Plowes!
