Broken Bridges

That age old proverb

“it's water under the bridge”.

Simon and Garfunkel

obviously didn't know real trouble.

Pop trouble, soap trouble, celebrity trouble.

Here today, gone tomorrow.

Pick your cliché like wilted flowers

and rot in self-serving decadence.

Real people try to build real bridges

but when it gets too real

streams become rivers

become oceans...

And then – tsunamis erupt.

Your water walls of emotion crush what could have been.
