Lady Of The Night

Sex club in view

I walk in desolate and alienated

Watching maids of France

The ladies of the night

I sit sheepishly next to the glutton male

Sour beer bottle on the table

I swipe and swallow

My expectations are ceased to a chill

Yellowish and dirty

Soiled in age

Pink brassiere

Tough and silky

Once more, a bra

She is the lady of tonight

She is my lady for the night

◄ I Knew You Once

Hi Sean, really like how you've described a seedy and tense situation so well and atmospherically, cheers Jeff

Oh, you poor thing! Surely you could have done better than that. ha ha.

The "lady" that is, not the poem!
Just a little joke. Hope you don't mind. Janet.x

I love the use of colour in this poem, the pink bar contasting with the yellow and dirt. Very effective.
