The Poetry Society is celebrating this years National Poetry Day on Thursday 5 October 2006. This years theme is 'Identity' and they have an official National Poetry Day website where you can find out what's happening on the day at the Poetry Society and around the country.

Visitors to the National Poetry Day web will also be able to read Jackie
Kay's diary that she will be keeping as the Poetry Society¹s 'virtual' poet
in residence, see what poetry titles there are on our specially collected
bookshelf and look at what activities and events are taking place around the
country. The National Poetry Stamp is designed and copyrighted by Alex Bramwell and can only be used with permission.
