Nameless by Nima Stone

Avoiding emotions that are bigger than me,

You always see me smile,

but thats what I lead you to believe.

Running away from my destiny,

Crying over the times,

you punished me.

I was just a nameless thing,

You tore me up, Ripped me apart.

I had my song, but couldnt sing.

The anger that you forced on me,

Made me feel extremely lonely.

With no one to turn to,

No one to lean on.

My trust in every single one of you, is now gone.

Emotionally malnourished,

Something youv'e accomplished.

I was the victim of many things,

I was an angel with broken wings.

Avoiding emotions that are bigger than me,

You always see me smile,

but thats what I lead you to believe.

But from this day forward I promise you,

Nothing that you say or do

Will ever bring me down...

You think my lifes a joke..when really you're the clown.

Hi Nima, great poems and powerful lines, obviously some strife behind this, love the line 'I had my song, but couldn't sing', best wishes Jeff

Good poem, Nima, I like this, especially the final message that it is the tormentor that is the clown. Enjoyed your sample poems too.
