Seeing Bury in a new light

entry picture

Bury is throwing open its doors on Friday night  in a celebration of cultural life in the town – and Write Out Loud is taking part.  An open mic event compered by poet Gemma Lees takes place from 6-7.30pm at the Teepee at Library Gardens (opposite Bury library / The Fusilier Museum) as part of the town’s mix of arts, music, performance, workshops, tours and more. And it's nearly all free. There will be happenings from the strange to the spectacular including giant wandering birds, illuminating projections and lantern displays. Wander round Bury's first ever late night specialist market, take a walk through St Johns magical fire garden, and be surprised as magical characters emerge to light up the dark nights.  If you would like to perform on the poetry stage contact Gemma Lees on gemmathepoet@hotmail.co.uk
