November II - Collage Poem Created by Stockport WoL

entry picture
Bonfire fire implodes at the expense
Of a failed assassination attempt

Blowing piles of ashes
Signalling contempt

Green woodpeckers find green man in French tree
Green skies lying across blue hills

Luscious, swaying, sighing trees
Movement trickles, follows downward –

Movements of sound, eddying round and round
The plumed bride waves her wand of dreams

And shadows fall across the silent stone.

Jane

That is just what came to the people as the collage poem developed. It jumps along like the poetic imagination itself, leaving the reader to impose his/her own meaning.

Hi John, I like the lines but don't understand the poem. Initially I thought this was about bonfore night and GuyFawkes. I would be grateful to understand the 3rd verse and the "plumed bride", how does that relate to the first verse. Sorry to be a bit slow..Best wishes, jane
