The first Nantwich and Northwest Poetry Slam was held at the Railway Hotel on Sunday 19th. In a very entertaining afternoon with 4 hrs of poetry the competition was extremely close with Manchesters Mia Darlone taking 1st prize, in 2nd was The Trent Vale Poet and 3rd David Partridge from Warrington. Harry Owen Cheshires 1st Poet Laureate performed a wonderful guest slot as did Crispin Thomas who had travelled all the way from Stroud to perform! The afternoon was a huge success and there will be another to follow sometime in the spring. Thankyou to all who took part and the fantastic audience. Dennis Just Dennis.x
