Poetry Performance Enhancement - one of Walsh's workshops
You’d better book early for this! Tony Walsh (pictured with John Cooper Clarke at Latitude festival) is one of the finest poetry performers on the circuit, one whose success has taken him to great heights: from Write Out Loud committee member in the early days, via Glastonbury poet-in-residence, taking in Warsaw’s Palace of Culture, the British Library, Ledbury Poetry Festival and much, much more besides. What he doesn’t know about writing poems to perform, and delighting audiences, is simply not worth knowing.
His work has featured on BBC1, Radio2, BBC 6 Music and in music magazine, Q.
And here he is, sharing the secrets of his success with anyone with a spare tenner (free for jobless double-dip victims and other concessions), the event organized by Lancaster's spectacular Spotlight people, Ron and Sarah. They run exceedingly good workshops.
Workshop runs 10.00 – 16.00, Saturday 5th May, 2012
£10, free for concessions
Workshop venue: The Auditorium, The Storey, Meeting House Lane, Lancaster LA1 1TH
