The national Shake the Dust Weekend, when young poets from across the UK share the stage with leading spoken word artists, takes place at London’s Southbank Centre from Thursday to Saturday, 5-7 July. Events combine the national Shake the Dust slam final for young poets on Saturday with performances from artists such as Saul Williams, Kate Tempest, Lemn Sissay, and Dizraeli and the Small Gods.
