Dreams
We’re at the fair and all is smiles
Enjoying the clichés of candy floss and hoopla
The world outside this park could fall apart
And we would not care or even notice
We take a ride on the tunnel of love
Unable to let go of each other’s hand
Then I win you the biggest bear in history
The ultimate trophy for my own jackpot prize
The only love I’ll ever need
We’re catching the train out of Past Central Station
Leaving behind the town that brought us together
And heading for a new life
Blackpool now a distant grim memory
The airport ahead and the blue skies now waiting…
We’re standing on a hillside looking down at the world
Where other people’s lives seem more trivial than ever
Up here it is just me and you
And the fresh breeze of springtime
You take my hand and I smile
We’re in our first house
The floor feels warm underfoot
The world is left to spin outside
In here we are protected
Shielded from the elements and the people
I want only you and for this moment to last forever

Hi Tony, I'm just catching up with poetry and was having a good read of these that you put on early Dec. I really like this and the moonlight girl.
Easy captivating reading, almost short stories that take your mind away. great stuff Jeff
