Heliograph (for Sun Ra)
Earth found choices are few
When Earth isn’t home
Distortions are reflections of sadness
What sounds like chaos is fresh beginnings
Somewhere in collages of sound is un-imposed order
Organic beauty
Freedom between naiveté and ancient wisdom
Heliocentric reality reflected off mirrors and time
Vistas from otherness infinities proliferate
If allowed inside
Illusions fade to reveal another normal
Unshackled shame falls to Earth
Unadulterated freedom finds form
There is an internal struggle for the right to dream while awake
To grow candy from vines
Is it not better to leave one’s body
Than to leave one’s mind
Or to lose
All is at risk
Don't surrender
Document dawns
Make records of abstract worlds
Imagine
Create
Discover how to stop day mares
Black holes are safe places for glass gladiolas
Even if they shatter they remain in orbit
And space is the place...
