Summer Darkness

As soon as you open your eyes

you realize the purple of dawn

peeps for insects

in the wet stalk morning.

A grizzle of fuzz for nature,

the ritual constant

buzzing of magpie eyed

beasts release their

nightmares on the breeze.

Come forward child.

Do not be afraid

of your reflection.

Tip a finger forward,

pan the frame of colour

and

write the shadow down.

A lot to like here Kealan.

"pan the frame of colour and write the shadow down."

A very arresting image.
