Write Out Loud's poetry workshop: imagine your island

entry picture

This month’s Write Out Loud poetry workshop exercise is provided by Jackie Hagan:

Draw a shape on a piece of paper. This is your island. Inside the island write the names of things you’d have there - you can have whatever you want – and outside, the names of things you wouldn’t have. Your island might be your perfect place, or you might create a dystopia, the worst of all worlds. Name your island - then write a piece describing life there.

If you have a go at this, why don’t you post up your efforts on Write Out Loud’s blogs?
