Our Guest Poet
Ged Thompson
Ged's poetry questions life. Poetically it does this via the telling of tales. Poems as philosophy, as metaphysical questions, both serious and thought provoking. That the wonder of childhood wonder, the everyday working man, magic and humour enter the bargain might confuse; it shouldn't. Not all of life, or its questions are serious, or simply intellectual. Ged's poetry questions life through differing eyes and experiences with laughter and the lighter moments the yin to the yang. A broken gas meter = philosophy, a toy car = a child's view, fairies = that which adults can lose.
A fantastic performer of his poetry - full of humour and emotion - Ged - not one to miss.

Our Guest Artist
Gary Edward Jones
I only heard Gary a couple of months back at a gig we were both on at Hannah's Bar in Liverpool. Had a chat, nice guy, very affable man. Then he got up and played. To say I was impressed would be a big understatment! A beautiful voice and just beautiful guitar work. But forget what I think - here is a review of Gary from Liverpool music magazine Bido Lito!
Gary Edward Jones has one of the best voices in the city, and is growing in profile and stature all the time. He's a great representative of the vibrant acoustic scene in Liverpool at the moment.
His voice perfectly suits the emotion he puts into his songs, as probably best demonstrated on this video of him singing 'Dying to be with you'
We're very fortunate that Gary is our Guest on Tuesday - the video below says everything;
