Self Portrait as alphabetical yoga
A big breath in
breathe out slowly
curl over and hang
deep deep breath
ear to one shoulder
feet parallel to one another
giant step to the right
huge step to the left
invert the legs
jump them back together
kick one leg out and over the other
lean to the right
move up and over from the waist
now stretch to the toes
over straight knees
past long lengthened thighs
quiet the monkey mind
return to
standing
tighten the buttocks
up pull the backs of the hamstrings
vary the breaths
xamine and loosen any tightness in the neck
zazen for the body’s organs.
