BALLOONS.

BALLOONS

On the 17th of December

2012

 Balloons filled the sky

Over Littleborough.

It was a lovely sight,

A lovely idea.

With each balloon

A piece of my heart

Floated away in harmony.

Big man,

Big mouth,

Big heart.

All no good

Under the harsh reality

Of a grey December sky

Bursting with the colour of balloons.

Balloons of love,

Balloons of sympathy,

Balloons of farewell.

A rainbow of regret,

Now it's another New Year,

A new start.

Time to forget the old

And welcome in the new.

But the old clings to me,

The old won't let me go,

Won't let me forget

That grey December afternoon

When balloons filled the sky over Littleborough.
