Starlights
Starlights
We all so want to believe,
Yet passage of time brings more
To grieve.
What wonders assail before two
And ten but then, the distant
Days bring a different score.
Ascent in years
Beleaguers all but paupere’d
Souls – for with nothing there,
No wealth to bare, the hint of
Paradise fuels an aged gun.
The fulgent fancy
Frequents thoughts in discontent;
An answer to a distant call
In rooms where mind begs
Deconstruction of surrounding
Walls
And all’s well in the
Sparkle of a maddened eye
As slaves sacrificed, go by,
Ready to catch their fall,
One by one, their all!
Boxes pass by the back
Door, heavy within the hour,
And flowers are never in short
Supply, kin cry, unsure of suspending
New beliefs, but with one foot
Tethered in the past, release will
Never come.
The future talks,
Gives hint they’ll walk again, whispers;
Celebrate their life,
Linger not upon their passing,
For in time,
When here is now,
And now is all your fond tomorrows,
You will;
Let Go!
