WONDERING
WONDERING.
Smoke screening
Gently leaning
On the maybe.
Trying to veil,
A pale
Version of the truth.
Diluted truth.
Watered down to suit
The situation.
Living a lie,
With eyes raised
Skyward
To distract
A trusting plea.
Only seeking honesty.
Questions asked
From the shadow
Of ignorance.
While liars bask
In their sunshine
Of deceit.
Shoes of truth
On the wrong feet.
Walk away
And admit defeat.
Your love is lost.
So, cut the cost,
And walk away.
Because,
On another day,
In another place.
On another day,
There’ll be a space
For you,
To see through,
The smoke.
