This World We Now Lost
This World We Now Lost
Do you remember Christmas?
Do you remember when Mom and Dad
Loved one another in that brief moment of time?
Do you remember searching the heavens for Santa,
Unsure if it’s true,
Wanting so much
For magic to happen
That you were sure
He was there with all of his deer,
Do you remember what it once was;-
To be a Child in our time?
When we took the infinite
As possible, while learning
And creating our juvenile minds?
Do you remember how fragile
You once were when going
To strange places we just didn’t know,
Growing and teasing
Adulthood till you could take no more,
Do you remember those days?
Do you have children now?
Do you look upon in awe
As they learn from you and seek
The guidance from - you as - parent,
Or are you not teaching
Human respect to the young ones
This world seems no longer care?
I look around,
I have disability of mind
From my travels I brokered,
I saw children go thirsty and hungry –
In fear they will never reach tomorrow,
And I say the Earth we now live
Is the strangest of Place;
Where hate be the only ‘one’
Reckoning success in the World.
We have so much knowledge,
So much knowledge it’s oozing
In ways – become fearful,
But a child’s just a child,
Innocent, demanding
And in need of our love
But it’s never there,
Never there for they to follow,
And I’m looking East-wards
And West, North to the South
And people are shouting out
Quarrels – clinging on with all
Might to antipathy and neglect,
Foreboding and dishonour
As each have crux’s
To bear upon their own neighbour,
And the shaking of hands
Be no more, than -
An acknowledging despair.
The West with its wallet,
The East with its development of politic,
The South with its Gold and the North,
The north is now melting
At a rate – killing the bears
And still we no longer see
‘Each’ child of our time,
We’re hungering for war
Like never before,
And how can we make
Each Politician see
That the child of our time
Is so fearful, she’s taking her own life,
How can we help the Politician
Feel the fear the child now dreads,
How can we make them - see
What is asked of the child?
Christmas
Christmas celebrates
Perhaps only the illusory,
Yet as children we’re all led to believe
That it’s so,
It is something the Christian
Seems keen to follow,
Even though in the East
It is a tale told different,
Asia is restless again,
‘We’ are still warring
In the Middle East,
Yet,
We’re brought up to believe
That adulthood holds sincerity,
But wherever we look,
In a grown Mans face,
Lies strike only the child who sees.
Tears go unaided,
The child falls solemn in heart
And mind and how blind are we?
How blind are we that we deny
What we see,
When the child lies dying
At the words ‘I love you’
When care’s not apparent at all???
Happy Christmas to one and all
On this Globe,
If we reach that far it
May be the last,
For the task of Parenting
Has fallen way by the side,
Where the lost smile of a child
Finds only the drunkards
And druggies who fear nothing,
Nothing and reach their own death,
Stating the case –
‘No-one truly cares anymore.’
The globes prospecting a fight,
And ‘they’ don’t care
Who’s caught up when the
Fists and the legs flail,
Don’t care for the onlookers –
The child of our time,
Who cannot fathom why
Grown men draw blood,
Why both men and women –
Their Mom’s and their Dad’s,
Fight till the death -
For a glorious war.
Happy Christmas one and all,
Happy New Year too,
Where it’s in with the old
And out with the new,
Keeping the child thrashing
Around on the floor,
Happy Earth day
Be you Men, or Women,
Happy Earth Day
For breeding the gunshot
That rings out in the night,
Happy Earth Day
For the missiles and bombs,
Happy Earth Day
For Decapitating a child,
Happy Earth Day
For the corruption at heart,
Happy Earth Day
For the child blown apart,
Happy Earth Day
Be you West or you East,
Happy Earth day
To all of us beasts,
Happy Earth Day
To the hatred that’s become
The new statesman,
Happy Earth Day –
United of World.
