Carl Allan "The Huyton Minstrel"

Carl Allan is one of Liverpool's finest songwriters; a singer songwriter's, singer songwriter.   With bitingly brilliant dark political satire he carves truth out of duplicitous politics with songs like "Truth now lies" and "Fatman".  With songs of elegance and beauty he uplifits the spirit in a celebratory glory of all that is pure, "Seeds", "Cool Waters".  Shaking the fleas off of this dog eared life, comedy and philosophical comedy at that, is found with "Doghairs".  Prophetic "The End" and "Highway Code" might also be seen and heard

 

I have to admit Carl is one of my favourite singer-songwriter musicians.  He writes great songs and has a unique delivery and style all of his own.  Cliched or not, I'm going to say it, on some of the political songs - if Roger Waters - had a scouse style...don't miss him!
