Strange pairship
(This is taken from my own left wing perspective, attacking neoliberalism and arguably the most fanatical group following its ideologies, i.e. the conservative party. Not to mention the question as to how conservatism seems to oft go hand in hand with Christianity in spite of its rather infamous neglect of one of the three theological virtues, i.e. charity. If commentary is to posted I'd rather it be something about language or form rather than a stupid comment like "bloody lefty" or the like.)
It does seem rather pathetic,
The two co-exist though quite antithetic,
The Christians and tories often are,
They seem anchored to each other.
When charity looses all of it's meaning,
Then maybe this pairship's viability is seeming,
Murray, Thatcher and the rest,
How is it that from on high they are blessed?
When it comes to care for one's fellow man,
They seem to not quite give a damn,
As long as their businesses continue to thrive,
Leaving the poorer hardly at all alive.
Surely such spite would result in excommunication,
Yet not at all, they bask in absolute elation,
How on Earth can this be overlooked,
While others wade knee-deep through such awful muck.
