Take me away

Take me away

Fare away from here

To a place where I can breathe easy

Some where we can just be

Together again

No past or future

Just a present

Full of wonder,

No time to waste or hesitate

Cause this world will keep spinning

Even when you’re not here

Memories to replace your presence

I’m fine with that

Just take me away from here one last time

Before the sun rises

And the moon is gone

Just let me breathe easy

In the warmth of your arms

Because I don’t want to forget just yet

Why I forgave you first

Why I changed my mind

And let you back in again

Knowing you’ll be gone tomorrow

I’ll deal with that pain another day.

Aye, emmy! A sad poem but a good one. The last line is so poetic when backed up with the other lines. Like a kind of resignation. You're resigned to your fate even though you may lose again.

Brilliant.
