HOLD TIGHT
HOLD TIGHT
Christmas is a time of joy in our hearts,
And new hope in our eyes,
As we reflect on times past,
And look forward to surprise.
Put aside all the petty little squabbles,
All the pointless vendetta's,
And ask ourselves, truly,
Are we really no better?
Spread your arms with a welcoming smile,
And defy all the ones who seek to defile,
A moment of bliss, so heartily felt,
Surrender to the moment and let your heart melt.
This may be the last opportunity, for though we pretend,
We really don't know when our lives will all end.
The blink of an eye is all it can take,
For a flame to burn out and a warm heart to break.
So grab for that moment with both of your hands,
Hold on tight and let you love expand,
To cover all with a blanket so warm,
Go out of your way to keep them from harm.
Hold them so tight and hold them so near,
Never let go of the ones we hold dear.
Face a future together with no shadow of fear,
Have a happy Christmas and a loving new year.
