We dance around
We dance around,
each others toes,
both of us,
are wearing stiletoes.
Our eyes engage,
only for a nano second,
then we turn and look away,
just long enough,
to see in each others souls
but not long enough to drown
or fall down the tunnel of love,
the forbidden hole.
We skip amongst our peers,
this year we both have shed tears.
Connect is not allowed,
not infront of the crowd.
I hold her in high regard,
a superior baird.
I am not ready for her
We dance around,
each others toes,
both of us
are wearing stiletoes.
No kiss on this horizon,
our embrace a delight,
I had to fight,
to walk away that night.
Kiss her,
I dare not,
there would be no return,
too much to risk,
fear of another burn.
We dance around,
each others toes,
both of us,
are wearing stiletoes ,
