As I put
As I put the lights,
on the christmas tree,
I think of the christmasses,
that have gone before,
I think of friends,
past and present,
some have moved on,
some passed away to God's land.
I stop and ponder,
why is Christmas so special ?
I think,
it is because,
Christmas was heaven sent.
I dress my tree,
to make it look,
ever so pretty.
I think of my Grandparents
and those I have lost,
of those with no family,
no money in their pot.
Then I stop,
where did I put the bauballs and the fairy ?
I smile,
I am glad to be alive,
this Christmas time,
then I swear,
my lights are all tangled,
fuck this I need a ciggie.
Christmas time,
sure is the time to reminise,
it is a time to forgive.
I am taking a leaf,
out of Mandelas book,
the ambassador of forgiveness,
so as I move forwards,
to the new year,
I would like to wish you all,
good Christmas cheer.
