White neck, strong;

Silken strands falling

Between intelligent ears.

Eye flecked with gold

Reflecting the depth

Of your soul, of your heart

Encased in sturdy chest.

Light feathered legs

That carried you faithfully

By my side through the years.

And evenings fall.
