John Hegley takes the plunge at Southwark
John Hegley will be unveiling "John Hegley's SPUDfest by the water" at Canada Water library in south-east London on Thursday 6 February as part of Southwark Libraries’ fifth Rhyme and Reason poetry festival from 1-15 February. Editor Sophie Hannah will be joined by contributors to The Poetry of Sex anthology, including Dan Burt, Tim Liardet, Nic Aubury, Caroline Bird and Fleur Adcock, at Canada Water library, on Wednesday 12 February. The festival finishes at Peckham library on 15 February with five black British poets exploring and celebrating love, life and their Caribbean and African heritage: Kadija Sesay, Dorothea Smartt, Patrica Foster, Malika Booker and Sai Murray. Other events include children's events at Peckham and Dulwich, poetry about the first world war, LGBT poetry, and free writer's advice.
