Remember the guy
Remember the guy
November the fifth, bonfire night, to celebrate guy and set him alight
Fireworks shooting, up in the night sky, kids watching them going, ever so high
Flashing and banging, exploding in light, giving the kids, a most wonderful sight
The wood is stacked, and been set to flame, for the Children that gathered,
The children that came,
The flames go up licking his feet, burning the man, on a bonfire treat.
Burning him up for his gun powder plot. He deserved what they did,
Deserved what he got.
History made, not for the good, their burning the guy, burning the wood.
Kids gather round, watching him burn, watching the colour, watching him turn
Now the fire is raging and reaching up high, sending his ashes, way in the sky
Kids are now cheering, that he as gone, cheering his mistake for getting it wrong
Fifth of November, a yearly delight, the children are laughing, at guy and his plight.
Sparklers used, fireworks gone, in Remembrance of guy, and what he did wrong
