An award-winning Afro-Caribbean-Canadian poet &
author, Afua Cooper is also Professor of
History at Toronto University. She has
written extensively about the Black Slave Trade in Canada.
She was chosen by 'Essence' Magazine as one of the twenty-five women who are shaping the world. She has published five collections of poetry, the most recent being 'Copper Woman' (Natural Heritage Books, 2006).
Afua is a riveting and dynamic poet who has performed all over the world.
