There’s a new open mic poetry night in West Yorkshire on Thursday 27 February. All are welcome to read poems or sing a song in a friendly, encouraging ambience, at Risk a Verse! with Write Out Loud, at the Red and Green Club, Milnsbridge Socialist Club, in Bankwell Road, Milnsbridge, Huddersfield. There will be guest performances by Write Out Loud’s founder Julian Jordon, and Stephen Mellor with his idiosyncratic take on modern life, in and beyond mirth-filled Mirfield.
