These Souls Bleed Real Love

                                                These Souls Bleed Real Love

The Streets are weeping blood today!

Violence making fists of steel and

Turning heads to clay.

            Bludgeoned for a second

Took, - a longing in somebody’s

Eyes can yield replies from

Sawn off guns and busy knives.

            Children not yet grown

Play split the kipper with your

Very own (your face).

            This viciousness with

Which they grieve is now

The norm,

                No belief in life

In love, in unity.

            Our children do

Not cry no more when

Rising from the concrete floor,

Toothy, bloody manic grins

(reveal the habits of an upper

Class)

Stepping back to take a hook –

A jungle yet an open waste,

Crossing roads without a look

Chasms filled with refugees,

            Suicides!

            Your class has gone on

Far too long without recourse,

For doors today are banged to

            WRONGS,

No investment in these future

Lives, upon the highest echelons

We see no care for this society’s

Desperate young.

            While boxing clubs

Are wide ajar, art expression

Is denied, derided by those who

Would teach us war.

            Our youth are very ill

Today! Yet still we teach to kill???

            When on Earth are you

To open eyes, and guide this boy

This girl, these fragile lives,

To the buxom of a caring world?
