Carbon Shaped Life-forms
Carbon Shaped Life-forms
Aye, carbon based we are,
Carbon based within integrations
Of H2O,
And it’s not just molecular,
It’s not just cells though,
We may be ‘carbon based’ but,
We make angles of our carbon forms,
Ninety degrees of humanity,
One-eighty degrees an animal,
We move we flow,
We structure our courtship
With one another on what we let show,
And two seventy degrees it’s
Time to come round,
To three-sixty of life going
Round and;-
Angles!
Angles of this and that,
Angles of life we all
Feel in our hearts,
Yet - these angles for some
Bear unholy a greed,
While others
In drama,
Others in climates
We all fear and loathe,
Bear angles of deformity
That ‘we’ round and bloat,
Looking now,
Looking through angles
Of time and life,
I see the hurt
For those bearing
Cells deformed,
(Those with disease –
We run from and ignore) -
Those within madness
We love and adore;
(love and adore),
Angles;
We may spark a rift
And punish our constant
Unknowing,
But when seeing
The soul from sheer sun’s
That glisten the skin,
We know in ourselves,
We know in our hearts;
Our kin,
Our kin,
Our kin!
