ESTATE SUMMER
Carefree days, water fights on the estate, sunshine disguising the heart aches, watch the water evaporate, on tarmac surface, mixed with dust and melted ice cream, no hurting, mums screaming out the red brick terraces, water bombs thrown at fresh laundry hanging, we'd never miss, haha, dirty faces, ice pops and dirty shoe laces, making 'dens' in grotty places, i miss them days, sun rays caressing that grimey place, a hint of grace injected into council estates, no drugs,no crime,no violence, estate summers will always have a place in my mind cuz...

I know this estate, like many estates up and down the country im sure. Spent my time living on one, watching my back for the local bullys. But yeah, the times when fear didnt get the better of you, there was 'some', fun. We used to have the water fights with the old washing up squeezy bottle. All that changed when the glue sniffers moved into the block of flats in our street. At least back then, there was always some sun to guarantee these games, or games of football. Nice one Yosh!
