Tamed
They turned us
Into dogs
You know
And we didn't
Even realise
They surrounded our
Buildings
With cages and pens
And put big gorillas
With keys
On the gates
To march us
In and out
They put collars
Around our necks
With our names
On
And even a picture
In case we got lost
Or forgot
Who we were
They made us
Go walkies
For at least
Half an hour
Everyday
And told us
It was good
For us
It won't be long
Until they teach us
To balance precariously
On our
Hind legs
And beg
For already
Most of us roll
Over
And let them tickle
Our bellies
When all we really need
Is a bit of
Bark and bite
And the memory
To not follow commands
Blindly
Because they're masked
By the promise
Of a sweet-smelling
Biscuit
