Her & Bear
Her & Bear
There was once a girl with a Teddy Bear
The teddy bear was part of her
They played, they cuddled they had such fun
They’d sing and dance and laugh and run
And then one day she met a boy
Who wished to take care of her toy
She loved that boy with all her heart
She always thought they’d never part
The boy was mean he hurt the bear
He kicked it round, pulled out its fur
The girl so hurt she cried and cried
She almost thought her bear had died
She took it home she nursed it well
Her little bear had been to hell
She swore that day no other boy
Would ever do that to her toy
She boxed bear up hid him away
So her and bear no longer play
On some sad days her heart grew soft
She’d hear bear call down from the loft
And out of fear she drowned voice out
No matter how loud bear would shout
And boys would come and boys would go
But her little bear she’d never show
There is a bear within us all
A little toy that’s very small
And if she’s brave, maybe some day
She’ll let that bear come out to play
Not for a boy, for her and bear
To let bear know that she’s still there
They’ll play, they’ll cuddle, they’ll have such fun
They’ll sing and dance and laugh and run
She will watch out for nasty boys
Who come to try and hurt her toys
But she wont be scared afraid to feel
Because her and bear……..
