Tik-um-tok

What If

There was a clock

Which told

The real time

A time piece

Governed not

By the artificial

Tick

Or the mechanical

Tock

But ruled

Only

By the rhythm

And emotions

of

The beating heart

A watch

That watched

And when things

Went slow

Their passage

would be monitored

And measured

In real terms

Sensitive to

Feelings

Not captive and cold

Inflexible

Minutes and seconds

So a minute could last

An hour

And an hour could last

A whole day

And a day

Could be over

In a just second

Now think carefully

About if you owned

Such a precious

Thing

And wonder

Honestly

How really

You would spend

Your

Time
