Whenever

Whenever

Whenever snow falls or sun shines

When mothers laugh or children cry

Through tiny cracks and broken lines

If men are born and when they die

Tiny diamonds haunt the sky

Fierce fires that burn with light

We never question how or why

They guide us through the night

More stars in sky than specks on beach

More diamonds than sand grains

Mere man could never dare to reach

So held down by earths reigns

Maybe tiny holes in a tiny box

That sits upon Gods shelves

And through tiny stars he beckons us

To find love for ourselves.

Hi Ged

This is beautiful - very reflective, simple use of language employed effectively. I love that last verse - ties it all in.

As ever with me, I spotted a typo! That should be 'specks' not 'specs' :)
