Faces
Alternate your face accordingly
To a paper aeroplane’s dynamics
That seems to fly in white stripes
Bent and angular like a bird with a large beak
And eyes are bigger in days filled with good
But small as raisins from time to time
On a crash landing in some water
Where the creases soak and change to warp
And the record in your mouth plays too slow
A plain face, a cake not yet iced
A sheet of paper in the print tray
Waiting for symbols and markings
To be inked in and outlined
Like a photo frame held up squarely to your jaw
A product of how you feel
In exchange for pretty, beautiful, smiles and similes
Noetic-fret!
